Where are you located?

10 Office Park Way, Suite 100, Pittsford, NY 14534 (across the street from Schottland YMCA). There is ample parking available. Upon arrival please flip the light switch labeled “Dr. Velarde” to alert her that you have arrived.

What are your hours?

Dr. Velarde runs a small private practice and hours vary.

Do you see patients virtually?

Dr. Velarde offers both in-person and virtual appointments. She prefers conducting initial evaluations in-person, but can arrange for fully virtual care on a case-by-case basis. Virtual appointment details will be emailed to patients prior to their appointment time. Patients must be located in New York State during their appointment.

What ages do you treat?

Dr. Velarde treats patients ranging from 4 years old to 64 years old, however she has limited openings for young children.

Do you see spanish speaking patients? ¿Atiende pacientes que hablan español?

Dr. Velarde is bilingual and can provide medication management for Spanish speaking or bilingual children, adolescents and adults. She does not offer therapy in Spanish.

How do I know if I’m a good fit for your practice?

Please schedule a free phone screening with Dr. Velarde here to discuss your needs and if you are a good fit. Dr. Velarde sees patients who reside in New York State. Due to the size, hours, and resources of Dr. Velarde’s practice, patients with significant medical conditions, severe and persistent mental illness, frequent emergency or after hours needs may be better supported at a hospital-based or university clinic where the patient would have a treatment team. If Dr. Velarde’s practice isn’t a good fit for you, she can provide alternative resources that might better serve your needs.

What health insurance plans do you accept?

Dr. Velarde only accepts Excellus BlueCross BlueShield (excluding Medicaid/Medicare products such as Child Health Plus and Blue Choice Option). Click here more info about insurance and rate.

What type of payment do you accept?

Dr. Velarde accepts credit/debit card payments through the Charm Patient Portal and personal checks. Payment is due at the time of service. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours will be billed.

Do you offer family therapy or couples therapy?

Dr. Velarde carries a small case load of family and couples for psychotherapy. Please inquire further by calling her office at 585-902-0226 as space is limited. Outside of this, Dr. Velarde believes involving parents/guardians and other family members in treatment is essential and will ask family members to join sessions if and when appropriate. Parents/guardians are required to be present for their child or teenagers’ appointments.

Do you offer disability, forensic, or custody evaluations?
